DOUGLAS FORBES - PROFILE
APR 07 by ILN

DOUGLAS FORBES was born in Africa, grew up in a small village in Zambia, and in his teens the family moved to a town called Springs in RSA.

Douglas finished high school and decided to study psychology, but was uncomfortable with the teachings of Freud.  He much preferred Carl Jung’s work, but there was little or no teaching of Carl Jung, so he opted for a completely different direction.

He joined the SAAF, in Pretoria, and began a career in electronics.  He completed his studies and technical training at The Pretoria Technical College.

Douglas left the SAAF and decided to pursue what seemed to be a very different career – water … irrigation to be specific.  This career would have quite an impact on his life as it was during these years of studying hydro engineering that his interest in the working and meaning of water would take on a significant shift in his thinking!  During the drought of the 1980s, the Vaal river had to be reversed to save the farmers.  Douglas was involved with the design of the pumps that created this humongous feat – the Vaal river actually reversed its flow!  It was at the testing bay at one of the turbo pumps that he first encountered the phenomenon of vortexes and cavitations.  Douglas continued to study via scientific research and related books as this subject had sparked quite a stir in him.

There was of course, the fun side to water – I am sure many of you remember the first theme park at Boksburg Water World?  Douglas was involved in the design of the pumps that would bring fun and waves to “Joburg-by-the-sea”.

During these years Douglas continued to study the paranormal side of life, but during the 80s this was still quite a taboo subject.  Books were literally smuggled into South Africa.  The censor board would burn and destroy anything of this nature.  In 1987, for the first time, the public got to hear of Douglas Forbes.  An article was written in Style magazine about his work, which at that time was quite offbeat.  Douglas was declared a heretic.

It was quite a trying time for him as he was ostracized and ridiculed.  But undaunted, he believed in what he had come to understand and study, and slowly pieced together the pieces of the jigsaw of a picture that only he could see.  The difficult part was getting others to see it as he did.

In 1987, he wrote a thesis for a PhD in Metaphysics.  The problem was, the more information he needed to prove his theory, the more Douglas had to turn to science to get the answers!  Eventually he received his PhD in the subject of, “WHAT WAS THERE BEFORE THE BIG BANG”.  It must be stated that it is, what one calls, a PhD by research.  Although he received his doctorate, Douglas never used the title as he felt that all the facts lay, NOT in the world of metaphysics, but in physics.

What, you may ask, has this all got to do with The Humanpincode?  The path that led Douglas to the physics world, helped him uncover what he believes is Pythagoras’ last and secret theorem, the octagon theorem, that in turn uncovered The Humanpincode – a method of revealing your true personality and purpose in life.

Douglas went on to write six books, three of these books have become best sellers.  The Humanpincode and The Humanpincode Relationships are published overseas.  In Turkey, the Humanpincode became number 3 best seller and is currently still on the top ten best sellers list.

Douglas has a new book, but I will let him continue with this fascinating subject, that I am sure will have you riveted to your seats, and with facts, change the way you see other people for ever.
