Are leaders born or made? How many times have you heard this question? Is being a great leader part of a body's DNA and are the attributes - integrity and humility - what makes a leader stand out from the rest?   If it in fact does come from our forefathers, can this really be proven or does it stem from life experiences, the challenges faced and the career paths travelled?  Like our amazing Madiba, have these experiences not given leaders that edge to lead and with no questions asked, we follow and we follow to bigger and better things in awe of who is at the helm?

Imagine it all being part of your own pin code, which we are all born with, and our life is playing out to that pin code. The choices we make along the way will be how we express our code. Every number in your pin code has attributes, which in turn can be expressed in "active" or "reactive" ways. Are you a natural born leader or will you eventually become one along life's journey? The question is whether there is a pattern in a great leader's code or is it all down to individuality - you are, you will be or you just won't.
